Scientific and production center Special machinery (SPC SM) of Moscow state technical university named after N.E. Bauman (MSTU named after N.E. Bauman)

SPC SM was created in April 2010 in accordance with the decision of bureau of Scientific Council of MSTU named after N.E. Bauman in view of need to work out priority direction of development titled Armament, military and special machinery, terrorism opposing system within the frame of the Scientific-research university. SPC SM is the structural department of MSTU named after N.E. Bauman and executes its activity in accordance with the Charter of MSTU named after N.E.Bauman and Provision of SPC SM.

In accordance with the Charter of MSTU named after N.E. Bauman the following has been determined regarding SPC SM: Purpose participation in provision of scientific technical and educational processes being implemented at MSTU named after N.E. Bauman. Main tasks:
  • organization and undertaking of fundamental and applicable scientific researches and other scientific-technical, research and development and testing-technological works aimed at solution of relevant problems in area of development, production, implementation, operation, repair and recycling of armament, military and special machinery, technical mean for terrorism opposing;
  • participation in educational process of personnel engaged in the above stated works as well as other persons in accordance with the Charter of MSTU named after N.E. Bauman;
  • participation in work for promotion of developments and products of SPC SM on Russian and foreign markets of armament and military machinery, technical means for terrorism opposing.
SPC SM is entitled to use wide potential of MSTU named after N.E. Bauman as the National research university of technique and technology (hereinafter Program).

Activity of SPC SM predominantly takes place within the framework of priority direction of the Program of Scientific-research university Armament, military and special machinery, terrorism opposing systems.

At the same time, works may be conducted in SPC SM with involving resources from other priority directions of the Program as follows:
  • space machinery and technology;
  • biomedical machinery and technologies of live systems;
  • nano-engineering;
  • information and communication technologies.
SPC SM is entitled to use results of developments (research, scientific-research and developments) on special equipment being intensively developed in MSTU named after N.E. Bauman as follows:
  • optic and electronic devices;
  • intellectual robotic technical systems working under special conditions;
  • radar systems of different designation.

Born in 1946. In 1971 graduated from MSTU named after N.E. Bauman cum laude, in 1995 graduated from Higher courses of the Military academy of the General staff of the Armed forces of the Russian Federation.

From 2002 member of the European working group on non-lethal weapons.
20042009 member of the Scientific Council at the Interior Ministry of the Russian Federation.
From 2006 head of chair S4 at MSTU named after N.E. Bauman.
From 2009 member of the working group of the Scientific Technical Council at the Government of the Russian Federation.

Selivanov V.V. is doctor of technical sciences, professor, honored worker of science of the Russian Federation, laureate of prize of Lenins Komsomol in science and technique (1979), of the Government of the Russian Federation (2001), full member of RARAS and the Russian academy of natural sciences, member of Dissertation councils of MSTU named after N.E. Bauman, Moscow state university named after M.V. Lomonosov, RARAS, he has governmental awards.

Selivanov V.V. is known scientist and pedagogue in continuum mechanics and explosion physics, mathematical modeling of destruction processes of solid bodies under conditions of high-speed deformation, he is head of scientific-pedagogical school in area of fracture mechanism of deformable media, he is participant of development of prototypes of rocket and artillery armament for Navy and Ground Forces. He is author of monographs, manuals, inventions and patents on problems of physics and fracture mechanics, applicable gas dynamics and physics of explosive waves, production safety and use of explosives.

Director of SPC SM Korenkov Vladimir Vladimirovich

Born in 1953. In 1976 graduated form MSTU named after N.E. Bauman cum laude.
19852008 scientific head of research and development works, chief designer of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise GNPP Bazalt.
20002009 director general and chief designer of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise GNPP Bazalt. From April 2010 director of SPC SM MSTU named after N.E. Bauman.

Korenkov V.V. is a candidate of technical sciences, laureate of Lenins Komsomol in science and technique (1984 .), member of the Russian Government (2005), author of 150 scientific printed works, over 40 patents, member of the group of experts of the delegation of the Russian government with the UN.

Korenkov V.V. is a scientist in area of physical and mathematical modeling of burning and burst processes, throw of bodies by detonation products. He is a known designer of munitions for Ground Forces, Navy and Air Force, he is participant of development of scientific and technical basics and technologies of practical recycling of munitions, double and conversion technologies. Over ten innovative items were handed-over for acceptance as armament with his direct participation and under his guidance as well as aviation fire extinguishing system ASP-500 was created for localization of natural fires and for suppression of fire storm at industry-related failures and catastrophes at area up to 1 000 sq.m under any weather conditions.
